10u and 12u bat choice?

by fireball101 » Fri Mar 01, 2013 12:01 pm

I am curious what bats are being used with solid success at the 10 and 12u levels. Let me know your thoughts

DD swings a Mizuno WhiteOut 32/22 and has been very successful with it.

I recommend the Pink Rawlings Cool Flo helmet to accessorize.

I am sure a lot depends upon size and strength, my daughter is 9, 5'2" and 105 lbs and played middle linebacker on the boys JFL team so probably not the norm.

Last year she had a CF4 - broke it 2 weeks ago in practice, great bat

Has an 05 Anderson Rocketech that she loves
Had a Louisville One X that was HOT - they just got pulled from the approved bat list
Is now swinging a 2011 Techzilla and the Rocketech

I think it's mostly about confidence at this age...hope that was of some help.

At that age level any bat between $ 300 - $450 will do, anything cheaper wont see anything hit over the infield grass line.

We went with the Demarini Vendetta 32/20. For a 60# girl, this bat is well balanced and offers lots of pop. Cost is midline. Demarini Rep. suggested CF5 for bigger and stronger girls. I know this is on the outskirt of what she should be swinging, but choking up and balance of bat has worked wonderfully. She also is a great bunter (from both sides) and working on the slap. This bat gets her more plate coverage. Hoping to get two seasons and then move to a higher end bat with a couple more ounces.

This bat will be sufficient as long as your DD is hitting with JOHN FELD. And hopefully the opposing pitcher isn't throwing with JOHN FELD.

What would happen if John Feld pitched to Ditka?
