Someone needs to do a little research on this 10u "A" team called the New Lenox LIGHTNING!! Not only do they have 2 very strong pitchers...their defense is the best I have seen. Plus they play both the speed and power game with the bat's!

New Lenox Lighting won an ASA/USA NQ last weekend in Romeoville by run rulling the NWI White Sox in the title match. Lots of hitting. Not with them or the organization, just watching the 12U match on the adjacent field. Sox played Lightning in the first bracket game and they had to play out of the losers bracket. Sox ended up playing 5 games that day vs the Lightning's 3, that is quite a bit for 10U. Don't know if Sox ran out of gas, but could understand if they did.

7 teams in the tourney, so not that big of a test, but Lightning won all the same. Other teams in it by order of finish were Wasco Diamonds, Hawks, Romeoville Revolution, Tinley Park Bulldogs, and Sparks.

Lightning went 5-0 by outscoring their opposition 42-9. Complete offensive and defensive domination!

I would like to thank the tournament staff at the ASA National Qualifier in Bloomington/Normal this past weekend, it was a well run tournament, great facility, very nice people, and although we had some rainstorms come in they managed to get all the games in!!! Thank You to the BNGSA for a great time in Normal!!
