Who are the Top 12U Teams in So Cal

by SCA18FAN » Tue Jan 19, 2016 10:05 am

I was able to catch the teams below in action this past weekend.

Choppers (Gurule)
So Cal 3D
So Cal Dirtdogs (Romero)
So Cal Athletics (Lewis)
Ohana Tigers (Helms)

I've see all of the teams above play through the fall except for So Cal 3D. Based on their play this past weekend only, I would say Choppers Gurule, SCA Lewis and Ohana Helms looked good with their new additions. However, DirtDogs Romero and So Cal 3D looked great. These 2 teams are LEGIT!! I would love to see them face each other this weekend.

Any predictions? Pools A, B and C look pretty tuff. Good luck to everyone.

You are right there are some very tough brackets. Wish I could be there to see some of these games.

I will take a crack at this.

Pool A

Ohana Tigers (Sanchez)
So Cal 3D
Firecrackers (Oaks)
Pico Prode

Pool B

Corona Angles Red
Mizuno Storm (Mathis)
So Cal Athletics (Lewis)
Ohana Tigers (Helms)

Pool C

So Cal Dirtdogs (Romero)
Central Cal Dirtdogs (Valencia)
Firecrackers (Ensey/King)
So Cal Athletics (Vasquez/Martinez)

Pool D

Corona Angles (Carter)
Black Ops
So Cal Athletics (Alonzo)
Firecrackers (Ollison)

Pool E

Ca Breeze (Birch)
So Cal Athletics (Suarez)
Batbusters (Wenger)
Corona Angles San Diego

Pool F

Batbusters (Pantages)
Cen Cal Dirtdogs (Kubo)
Choppers Graphite
Mizuno Storm Leyvas

Pool G

Batbusters Maroon
Nor Cal Smackers
Choppers (Garza)
So Cal Breakers (Labs)

Pool H

Batbusters Flores
Cen Cal Dirtdogs (Heefley)
Explosion (Vega)
TNL (Ruder)

Pool I

Choppers (Gurule)
So Cal Future
Ohana Tigers (Gracia)
So Cal Wicked (Limon)

My Semi Final Prediction Without seeing the brackets would be:

Corona Angles Red
So Cal Dirtdogs (Romero)
Ohana Tigers (Sanchez)
Firecrackers (Oaks)

Any one of these four teams are capable of winning this tournament. Of course there are other teams that can win as well.

Would this make a NorCal team, the best team in SoCal then?

Congrats to those teams in the semi's and certainly to FC-Oakes/Young and Power Surge-Bachtell for making it to the final game.

Also want to give props to some very solid '04 teams who did very well this weekend. Well done ladies.

With this years first PGF Qualifier just weeks away! Does anyone have any projections on what teams have the best chance to grab their births early?
