Agr requirements- when do we move up?

by Els489 » Thu Jul 09, 2015 12:05 pm

Need your help. Can someone help explain the age rules for the various leagues, i.e. ASA, USAAA, Triple Crown? We have a 10U team (mostly '04's) and want to know if they will be required to move to 12U after August 1 or can stay 10U until sometime in early 2016.

Thanks!

Thank you. I know that's correct for USAAA, but wanted to know about ASA and Triple Crown as well as I believe they may be different.

So our '04 girls (10U) should jump to 12U after the World Series at the end of the month? It's my understanding for USAAA the MUST play 12U as of Aug 1. Is that correct? Same with the others or with ASA and Triple Crown is it SUGGESTED they move up over the summer but NOT required until 2016?

Sorry if I am slow, just want to be able to communicate to the team.

Fall/Winter is the time for learning and more instructional ball... If they are competing in 12U next Spring they should start playing 12U teams and tournaments in Fall... Again the cut off date is December 31/Jan 1... So they COULD play 10U teams/tournaments until then. BUT what's the point? to win a trophy? Better to play the older girls and get use to the competition...
