Dark date So Cal High School

I know this has been discussed before, but what is the dark date in So Cal. There seems to be varying opinions, and no clear consensus. Our coach is adamant that it id Feb. 15. I have always heard Feb. 21-22. We were planning on playing in a President's day weekend tourney. Now there's talk we can't. Anybody know for sure?

In The CIF SS and most of So Cal it is technically Feb 28th.

That is the date that the first HS competition (game) is allowed. As of that date per CIF rules you can no longer play "games" for more then one team.

However we all know the HS teams have to practice before the first game so most schools observe this date as the start of the Spring season which is Feb 17th.
