Former Player/ Current Umpire Nicole Whaley.. Fundraiser

For many of us who have been on the "circuit" here in So Cal for any amount of time you likely know or have met Nicole Whaley. Nicole played in the 90's and early 2000's in So Cal for Sudden Impact and Cal Cruisers to name a few before going off to play her College ball at University of Wisconsin. After graduating from Wisconsin she decided to give back to the game by umpiring. Nicole umpires mainly around local rec-leagues in the Riverside area but also for many travel events. Unfortunately Nicole has just recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer.

So Cal Explosion will be hosting games on Sunday November 16th to raise money for her. All proceeds will go directly to Nicole's Medical Bills

Games will be for the 14u division at Grand Terrace High School

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Whaley family as Nicole lost her battle yesterday. Nicole was someone very special who always brought a smile to your face. She will be truly missed but definately never forgotten. A reminder to us all that life is extremely precious.
