Does pool play count in the 12u and 14u ASA Nationals? One of you know it all's please help a brother out.

So is this anywhere on the websites? does it move to runs for against etc??? how is it broken down.

This is how they did Pool Play in past ASA Nationals, not sure they are going to do it this way in 12's and 14's this year.

Draw was 4 teams per Pool.

--1 vs 2 and 3 vs 4 on the first day of Pool Play
--Second day the winners of those two games played for seed #1 and #2 with obviously the winner of that game getting #1. The losers do the same and play for #3 and #4 seeds from that pool as well.

Now we have seeds #1, #2, #3, #4 from each pool determined and on Tuesday night they draw from all the pools using the higher seeds from pool play playing the lower seeds in the first rounds of Bracket Play.

Note: ASA also has a method of keeping teams from each state from playing each other during the first few rounds. Again, not sure that will be done this year.

Last year in 12u, Alabama nationals, pool play meant nothing.
The bracket draw was done the week before nationals.
pool play was two "exhibition" games with no bearing on seeding.
