ASA "C" Southern CA States Tournament - Pin Trading ???

Keep hearing different stories. Are pins traded ? Is anything traded? (giftbags, necklaces, etc.)

Input appreciated from those who went in prior years.

In past years, the girls trade pins with other teams before or after the parade of athletes. These can be extra pins if you held a tourney this year, stock softball-type pins, or pins specially created for your team. Don't think you have time to create pins, but see what you can get before you go. It's worth it! You'd probably want each girl to have at least 5-10 minimum.

We went to "C" States last year in Lancaster.(14u). Team had no idea that they did pin trading, as it has been awhile since anyone from our league had gone.
We did not bring pins, and the girls were suprised to see this happening and did not know what to do, except say "sorry, we don't have any pins."
Most of the other teams said "that's okay, you can have one anyway. Very cool kids.

Just bring something - Pins, wristband, beads, whatever.

Now, do they pin trade at B states 16u? Are they too old for that?
