You can hit/pitch into both sides simultaneously, and it takes up far less space when collapsed. Downside is it takes longer to set up.

From the humor aspect, it's much more fun watching a “rookie” trying to fold up their jugs net the first time (you know we never read instructions). Picture a human sized bear trap

[bDONT GET ME WRONG, THE JUGS NET IS GREAT AND EASY TO SET UP AS WELL,THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WITH MINE WAS THE POLES GOT WORN OUT AND IT DIDNT SHAPE WELL...ENDED LOOKING LIKE AN EGG SHAPE HITTING NET  I KNOW THE HURRICANE IS A LIL MORE WORK TO SET UP BUT IT IS A STURDY HITTING NET AND WILL TAKE A LIL MORE ABUSE.......][/b]

Just purchased two Hurricane's for my team and love it. I noticed that this type of nets are becoming popular in the tournament circuit. A lot easier to carry and store compare to the round pop ups from either jugs or Easton. You might want to check out Easton's web site, they just came out with their own version called the Typhoon that can be purchased under $100 (on different sites). The only difference I can see between the two are the locking mechanism in extending poles.
