What are the rules for girls playing travel and LL Softball

by luv2ump » Fri Jun 19, 2009 11:42 pm

What are the rules for girls playing Travelball or ASA and LL softball. I was over hearing a conversation between 2 dads during a softball game last night, (it sounded interesting) about how some of the girls that were playing LL and they had already Qualify for ASA Western or Nationals. Is there such a rule. This was during a 14U LL softball game.

The only rule I know of in LL is she cannot play any other organized softball team during All Star play. If they qualified before or after that time then all is ok.

I would beleive this extends to friendlies also key word being any organized team. But who would know? If you want I can dig out the old rule book but from all the meeting I use to go to they always made it clear they couldn't do anything but play All Stars during that time.

I think this is an ASA rule. ASA Rec ball can not play anything else after certain date to participate in All Stars.

I don't think LL has any thing to do with ASA.
