First, thanks for the responses to my question and the rankings provided. However, I am now more confused.

If CA Tyson never lost another game, then how did they only come in third. My understanding is that a team can work their way out of the looser bracket, back into the championship game. Did that happen here? Or was the looser bracket seperate from the winners bracket?

In the "state" tournament, the two remaining unbeaten teams in the winners' bracket play for 1st and 2nd place. The "winner" of the losers bracket is the 3rd place team. In other words, once you lose a game (before the final game in the winners bracket), your best possible finish is 3rd place.

Okay so who qualified for regionals? How many? Do those slots pass down if teams don't go?
