The best of the best first year 14's

I agree about the southern side of things. Not so much on the northern side though thus far. Unless the best northern teams switch events, it still doesn't make sense, unless the goal is not to have the best from each region face each other.

UPDATE!!!!!!!

The Salinas Storm - Jimenez and the Central Cal Dirt Dogs - Wallace are coming together to host a tremendous event on March 21/22/23. Coach Jimenez and Coach Wallace are bringing their two events together in what will be a great weekend of softball.

The North V South Civil War and the NorCal v SoCal Sweet 16 Experience is now one event.

The Salinas Storm Presents: The Civil War NorCal v. SoCal Experience Powered by Central Cal Dirt Dogs - Wallace

The event will take place in Salinas at the Salinas Sports Complex.

Just my opinion, you'd probably get more participation if you would have kept it in Clovis rather than Salinas. Just from a pure distance stand point. 6.5 hour drive vs. 4 hour drive.

It's probably difficult for those top Norcal teams to relate with that sentiment considering they routinely travel up to 8 hours. :D

I have a hunch fairball's 8-hr drive and kevin's 6.5-hr drive are the same distance. ;)

I've seen the Firecracker-Redmond team and if healthy, they may be the team to beat. Two dominate pitchers, power and speed throughout the lineup. They played 16u all Fall and pretty much dominated.

To be a National Championship contender you have to qualify and be eligible to actually play at Nationals.
