Rumor has it

Maybe, just maybe, they have decided not to continue and are willing to give the girls a chance to play for other teams. If this is true, it seems a little premature.

I hope it's not because they had a coach like this...

"my daughter is going to Nationals with or without you" to team/ 12U girls after 1st loss to fire them up for next game, which they didnt...

I'm SURE that was not Javier. He is much classier than that. Coaches can learn a lot from him on how to inspire a team. Just very sorry that they decided to disband...

Well is it true or not. I think Hey Bucket (#1) should contact Javier and find out if there is any truth to this?????

Javier and Daryl are solid coaches. My granddaughter played on Crunch and learned a lot the season she was on the team!

I heard they folded to release girls from their roster to play as pick up players for other teams that qualified for ASA and that they will be back in the fall.

That would be pretty stupid. Why wouldnt you play out your own season and still try to qualify? If you dont qualify, then AFTER regionals you could become a pick-up player. Pick-up players cant play in any qualifiers.

So you get a team together and then disband as soon as states are done??? Doesnt sound smart to me, not to mention really hurts your credibility as a coach.

Once again, this is all water cooler talk that is probably completely INACCURATE.

I have personal knowledge that no coach from Crunch said anything about their daughters going to national with any other team. It's funny how people who have no clue about what really happened have so much to say. I guess for some if they are not talking total nonsense they wouldn't have much to say.

Just for the record this is all completely untrue, yes the team folded but not for the reasons stated above, and the comment about "My daughter is going to Nationals with or without you... was never said by these coaches!! Just heard that the same person who stated they heard this from this 12u team just stated on another topic that they may have heard it from a 14u team. Sounds like someone needs to get thier facts straight!!!
