No, I am not joking! Sorry but this is my first time to play in Fresno so I don't have it all figured out!

scorkep, not sure, but i think if you win 2 out of 3 you make the top 4 out of 8. so if you lost the 1st game, you would have to win the next two to get in the gold bracket...again, not certain...
on sunday in 12's last year, they had #3 play #4, then winner play #2, so #1 didnt start playing until the 3rd round...

Scorekeep, 1st through 4th go to the Gold Bracket and 5th through 8th go to the Silver Bracket. Look at the Brackets, it is very clear.

Same deal this year... win 2 of 3 Saturday you're in the Gold Bracket...

and the same deal on Sunday as last year... top seeds start later.... but they will probably be playing later too, so it works out.

You can lose one game on Saturday and still play in the Gold Division on Sunday. The lost can be your first, second or third game.

The theory behind the schedule is to try and get teams playing agaist teams of equal ability. The first round is a crap shoot because of the blind draw, but last year after the first round on Saturday, the number of mercy rule games was reduced by over 60% from the previous year.

This is why on Sunday we seed teams closer together then having a high seed vs a low seed. Also on Sunday we try and prevent teams from playing more than 5 games in a day. Also you will notice that 75% of the teams play at least 5 games instead of 50% of the teams only playing 4 games.
