Due to rain delays earlier in the day, there was no championship game for 12U. So, there were co-champs - SoCal Breakers - Steele and Cal Cruisers - Orantia. Congrats to both!

What difference would it make if any or all of the teams were 99's? They are still eligible to play 12u, don't see why they would but they are.

Also most of the top 12u teams are playing 14u anyway so it should not be a problem for them.

Congrats to Breakers & Cruisers.....

then why not have the 01's stay down and beat up on 10yr olds?

if you can't hang in your own age divisions is that what you do? does it make you a better player? or just feel better?

do what you gotta do. it was just a question

Other than the LV Rage, I believe all of the top teams are '00 teams.

My daughter plays for Rage Nate and she is a 2000, we have 3 2000's on the team which all are everyday players. The intent is not to beat up on the younger teams, this is a new team that just came out in the spring with 9 players coming straight from rec in which 7 were 99's. We are playing up in all other tourneys except for the tougher So Cal tourneys. That is a testamment to how good the competition is in So Cal. My daughter was on the mound when we beat Corona Angels so it can't be said they were beat by a 99 pitcher. I understand your statement but i just wanted to give you a little insight into why we played 12's. It was a great weekend and I was able to watch some great teams out there. Big congrats to So Cal Breakers, they are the best hitting 12U team I have seen in quite some time.

Lots of 01's playing in the 10U division this weekend. The good news is that a 02 team beat them all and won the Championship.

I get it in the 10U division because most parents and teams don’t know better yet, but in the 12U division it is lame…

BTW 12U's playing up is not the same thing as 14U's playing down.
