Pitcher hit in the head!

by Dropn N » Sat Nov 21, 2009 12:20 pm

Mizuno Pride pitcher was hit in the fore head by a line drive about an hour ago at LNMS. Left on a stretcher but appears to be okay. Pray for her and her family for a positive outcome.

As the mother of a pitcher my deepest prayers are with this family even if I don't know who they are.

My DD is resting in hospital tonight. Slight skull fracture, which should heal without surgery. If no complications, she can go home tomorrow with a pretty serious headache and black eye. Thanks to HB Breeze 96 coaches, and OC Hurricane parents (nurse, EMT, firefighter) who assisted while dad (me) was pretty much in shock. Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers. We will be investigating masks for the future. This is something you never think will happen to your team, let alone your own daughter. This was truly a frightening experience.

Good on ya, bc9363, for posting up the condition of your DD, thus circumventing the wild speculation that surrounds situations like this.

I hope your daughter is OK and back in the circle where she belongs with no lasting effects from this very traumatic incident...

From one pitcher's dad to another hope she recovers quickly and hops back into the circle, we do live on the edge and hope that this will never happen to anybody, but I cant get mine to wear that mask.

So Cal Wicked wishes her all the best
