Rule question? Get it answered here.

Ran through the ASA code and didn't see anything against it. Is anyone aware of a rule that would not allow you to roster a Canadian citizen on a 16U ASA team??

As long as it is not JO Boys FP, you should be good as long as the player meets any other qualification for a certain classification.

Here is the applicable section of the code:

D. Player Eligibility.

01. Player Participation. A player may participate in any one local
association during the current year.

EXCEPTIONS:
a. In 9-Man Modified and 10-Man Modified Pitch, teams shall be made up
of players from their respective region. No rostered player can play in
championship play if they come from outside their respective region.
b. In the 50, 55, 60 and 65 seniors divisions of slow pitch teams shall be
made up of players from the team’s home state plus adjoining states.
The home state is defined as the state where the most players on the
roster reside.
c. Foreign players may not participate in the 10-Under, 12-
Under, 14-Under, 16-Under and 18-Under Boy’s Fast Pitch.
