Sounds like a riot. How do us common folk get an invite?

Got a blue shirt?

I can steal one.

Anyone can get a blue shirt.

The secret handshake will be the necessary component to the Blue Moon Beer and Umpire War Story festival.

I'll bring the oranges for the blue moon....

The oranges will be accepted in lieu of knowing the secret handshake, although we will eye you suspiciously on occasion.

I was all different shades of red for several innings.

You posted that same story on the 1st page..... although it's funny :P

Go to any umpire get meet up/social type deal, you'll hear a very similar tale .. or tales of the same ilk.. over and over.. from the same guys who already told you it. The "hit her in the box" or "shes got no balls and 2 strikes" type stories just never really get old I suppose... at least they aint slappin ya in the ass with a towel after they tell em.

Yup. If I had a dollar for every time I have heard that story, well, I would have a lot more dollars.

bwahahaha!
we were in an all star tournament back in 04, and a parent took about 200 pics, and he was in some...come on that guy is famous!

I have to admit, I have some pictures of Bryce somewhere also from all stars 3 or 4 years ago. It was funny at first, then quickly became very frustrating. But he is definitely memorable and my daughter always brings him up when we talk about the different umpires over the years. It is a fond memory now, as long as he doesn't show up now to ump her 14u travel game.
