Bylaws

Is it true that Travelball teams in So Cal area must approve and submit their Non-Profit bylaws before purchasing uniforms from moneys saved from fundraisers? Will seeking non-profit status put our team into that category? Please inform.

Approving and submitting bylaws is part of the process of becoming a nonprofit. There are additional steps to becoming tax exempt where donations are tax deductible.

Lots of teams hold fundraisers and buy uniforms without having nonprofit status.
