You're advice is welcomed. Thank you. Now she got lucky that the damage was not as bad as it could have been. We let her back on the field because doc gave us the ok for when she could run on it with no pain. After the third treatment she was begging to play again and showed me she could run with no pain. I have worked closely with her for several years and I can see when she's hiding her pain. Plus we proceeded with caution. Even though she declared she was pain free I was watching for even the slightest limp. She was clear the whole day. The only challenge we had was a little bit of control issues. Basically a few more full counts then we like. That was to be expected from nearly 2 weeks without pitching. Even now I'm watching her closely. Thanks for your input guys I really appreciate it.

Tnt, you really need to pump the breaks for your kid's sake.
Many are telling you to slow down and let her heal, including fricking doctors, and you just blow by those recommendations with a "thanks guys, I'm really watching her closely".
I also see you refer to her as "we" a lot.
There is no "we", it's about her, not you.

I know it's exciting for you to see your daughter play and play well, but I also cringe reading some of your posts.
Say what you will about Sam on here, but one thing he is correct about is your kid will tell you whatever you want to hear because she wants to please her parents.

Sorry to sound like the old guy saying dammit you kids get off my lawn, but I was there, Spaz was there, PR was there, and we all wish we would have slowed it down a little as our kids progressed through travel and college.
I shake my head remembering pushing my kid through 14 u nationals, making sure she took her 4 advils every 4 hrs to get passed her chondromalacia patella pain. I convinced myself it was ok because you can take that much advil up to 10 days straight according to the bottle...

I wish the best for your kid, but the minute she feels like softball is a job, you have lost her.
The journey speeds by in the blink of an eye, and there will be plenty of time for softball to be a job, so let her be a kid too right now.
JMHO as always...
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

We did listen to the doctors. They gave us the green light if she could run without pain. They even told us she might be ready by Saturday. I was skeptical about that until my DD showed me she could do what she was begging me to do pain free. Some things you can't hide. She was ready. Sometimes there's more you can do than just ice and elevate. Deep tissue massage and electrical stem performed by qualified people (Hayes Chiropractic and sports) really did the trick.

Be careful! Pain free and fully healed are two different things. I can't see what the rush is during meaningless spring tournaments and friendlies. Baby steps.........good luck!!

Chiropractors aren't really doctors, even though they call themselves that.
Go to a sports orthopedist, MD.
Better yet, let her rest.
I foresee burnout in a few of years.
Seen it a hundred times
I wish her luck
