Fresno Force Classic

What's on your mind?

by fasterpitch92701 » Mon Mar 03, 2008 2:13 pm

Intel, thanks for the clarification. Makes more sense, now. From a practical perspective, 14U means... 8th graders only. Probably not an issue for young 14's but older 14 teams might not even be able to field a full team. Interesting.

Thanks !

I booked our reservation for the hotel but am concerned since our team OC Batbusters 12u isn't on the list. Just wondering if coach registered yet?

Thanks for the reply in advance.

Intel wrote:fasterpitch you are correct. Both Central Cal and Southern Cal high school players cannot be involved in the tournament as a NQ. Many 14U teams are not the same team as in the summer due to High School Ball. This is why ASA is only looking at 12U and 10U as NQ.

It will never happen. Its a April tournament...9,10,11,12,13 year old kids are still in school. Its a full 3 weeks prior to the first NQ in Colorado for the 10's....a full month prior to the first 12U NQ's. Why would they ever try and make it a NQ when nobody but west coast teams could come?

Its a nice tournament with excellent competition and great preparation for these teams heading into their State, Association, and Metro tournaments.

Hope you have enough towels to give out to the winners... :D

Sam:

I agree with you and the Force is not pushing for the NQ, but the JO keep bringing it up because of the number of teams vs. the HOF and Disney tournament.

OC Batbusters 12U are on the waiting list. This means we have received your application, but have not received your payment. 12U has the most openings but we continue to add teams daily.

Fresno Force Classic has one 12&U spot available. The 10&U division and 14&U division are full. The first team to get signed up and payed will get the final position.

We are looking to post the schedule the first part of April.

Good Luck to all the teams playing!
