DD is loving her Miken Freak Black.

Miken is not a big name in the fastpitch world, but this bat performs with the big boys. Unfortunately, Miken is discontinuing production and getting out of the fastpitch market. I already have the next size up waiting for my DD to grow.

Miken Freak was my girls' favorite. Sad they discontinued. Now they're using the Xeno.

Exactly... OCBB teams use them for the most part and they have done pretty well...

Sightly wrong answer,
A 2015 bat is better, or should I say a broke in bat.
They're cheaper too.

He's wrong.
DD is in college and they are not bat sponsored. She is still using (2) Demarini 2013 CF5s.
Both bats are holding up just fine. She wants a new one for this junior year.
I told her if they are still hitting bombs and they have not been bad ordered, use them.
If color makes a difference ( ) Demarini makes custom colored bats that you design.
Whether team color or your own favorites, jersey number, name, even mascots can be put on knobs ect.

Once you get to the top level bats from any of the major maufacturers, the performance differences between them are pretty minimal. What matters most is what feels the most comfortable in the hitter's hands.

There is absolutely something to be said for "it's not the arrow, it's the indian". However, giving the indian an arrow that inspires confidence is a good thing.
