Equipment bags

What's on your mind?

by yellowballcarpool » Tue Sep 02, 2014 8:44 am

We are in the need of new equipment bags and are looking for advice. What does your team use? Rolling bags or backpacks (rollers for catchers) and why? and what brand. We are so tired of the Boombah bags falling apart. Any help appreciated. And looking to keep the price reasonable.
Thanks

Kids team uses Mizuno stuff...mine has a rolling bag to hold her (Bio hazard) catchers gear...rest of team uses backpacks...Rolling bags are usually unnecessary and most kids I know would rather have back packs...just my .02

Mizuno bags have held up pretty well....but a lot of that is kids taking care of them also...Had to explain to mine that NO she didnt have to leave it in the dirtiest spot she could and NO it wasnt Ok for kids with steel cleats on to stand IN her bag during games...thats WHY it has HOOKS on it...

Spaz, know of an org that puts all its bats in a bag by themselves and ships that...But yes, mine wishes she just had a back pack also...maybe somebody will make one for catchers?
Minus of course the 20# of dirt, 9 half empty Gatorade and water bottles tshirts, socks, washclothes, that move on their own.etc...with a special pouch that sprays Lysol and Febreeze every 2 mins also...

My DD's team is trying these:

Grit started out making hockey bags, We will see how they hold up outdoors.
The organization factor is nice...but DD catches so all the shelving will have to come out for her gear to fit.
