Vinci vs Nokona catcher mitt

What's on your mind?

by familydivided02 » Mon Mar 24, 2014 11:37 am

My 02 daughter needs a new mitt and we are looking at making the investment for the long haul. I have experience with Nokona, but haven't seen a Vinci at my daughters age group in AZ. Can anyone offer a good review or pros and cons for the comparison. Right now leaning to Nokona, but the daughter loves black leather and H Web design... Not many options out there for that. Thank you in advance for any responses.

My DD uses the Bloodline Nokona and won't use anything else. It took a very long time to break in. Very stiff. We went with the open web to limit the amount of dirt in the pocket when digging low pitches. Very happy with 18 months of use.

My daughter uses a Vinci, and i am a Vinci rep here in So. Cal. You Can't go wrong with either one.
I was looking to get her a Nokona before i became a rep. Usually the better the leather the longer the break in and the stiffer it is right out o the box. It's hard to spend a couple hundred dollars and not try it out. I Carry samples, but i am located in So. Cal.
Give me a call and I would be more than happy to talk with you about Vinci. They are becoming more popular here on the west coast. Nokona has always been a benchmark, and a great glove.
Here's a link of her breaking in her Vinci Gloves.

I'm not intimately familiar with the Nokona mitts, but I have just received a Vinci JCV-22. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the Vinci, and - most of all - the palm protection. It's a GIANT step above the Miz GXS101 and GXS92 that I'm most familiar with. My little girl is anxious for me to hurry up and get the darn thing broken in!!

Had a call from Texas, sending my sample out there to try it out. Hard to spend a couple hundred buck's and not get to use it in the field. Give me a call and all my samples are availble for on the field use.

I'd be interested in checking it out also. My DD is 5'8 and has good sized hands. I was told it might be a little tight on here hands. Plus she has grown really attached to the nice deep pocket on her Miz. I want to find something with more padding and better leather but I know she'll fight me all the way at first. There is something so comforting about your old broken in mitt. Its hard to let go.

I should have a catcher mitt this coming week. I also have my kids Optimus and the one she uses now. She's a 99 and 5'10. No issues with the glove being tight. Give me call.
New samples are coming in, been selling most of them,
Here's a link of her breaking in her catchers mitt. We actually had a family buy this one off her hand.
She now uses a Vinci 34" which has a different pocket then the 33"
