They do not have the field space. Have you been near that campus? There is no room for fields.

yes i'm very familiar with the location of the campus.. i'm from the socal area and a huge USC fan , that just seems like a ridiculous excuse. They could play off campus it really wouldnt take a lot to do!!

1. The AD is a football guy.
2. No room for fields. Playing off campus would mean playing way off campus. The nearest top flight fields are in Westwood - and you know that ain't gonna happen!
3. No money left in women's athletics budget after recruiting the Song Girls.
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

Here is the truth, USC does not want to recruit anymore athletes like they do for their football team with 1.2 GPA

For those of you who have never been on the SC campus it is very beautiful, but you leave the campus and drive any direction for 2 minutes and your life is at risk, it is a beautiful school right in the middle of the hood.

With the price of real estate in the area, they could buy up entire city blocks and it wouldn't put a pinhole in the their endowment fund.

And I'm not an SC hater, but the campus isn't really that beautiful. Nice for the area, without question, which might trick some, but geez, I'd take Pepperdine over SC any day. Or Ann Arbor. Or Colorado in Boulder. Or Notre Dame. Or or or... ;)

You might be surprised at the amount of property USC actually owns around the campus, They "DO" have the property to build a couple fields.
