New Branch off organization Athletics Mercado . this is an organization that branched off from the SoCal Athletics after 1 team won pgf nationals.. now the new branch off organization are called Athletics Mercado at least they have Athletics still across their Jersey. with his name Mercado and the emblem has changed to a mashed M and A.
joke about Tony Rico and what he's done or Mike Stith and what's happened with Bat Buster's....at least they haven't put their name on everyone's Jersey. funny thing it doesn't separate whose team you're on because you're actual organization is called Athletics Mercado. so many organizations in Southern California with the Athletics name here are a few
So Cal Athletics-
Athletics-
Athletics Mercado
American Athletic
the coaches are always shuffling the players are always shuffling. Its not the same team from last year to this year.
bottom line it's not what's on your jersey it's the players wearing it That Make A Team stand out. I get it Mercado had to find a way to Branch off and still hold some reputation.....
and now starts a new year of a bunch of teams that are going to represent, sure a strong team that he started this may finish through 18u.
for the most part here in Southern California you're just part of the travel ball community....
Back in the day everybody knew if you played for the Raiders you were on Phil bruder team. back when travel ball first began and Phil Bruders Raiders team won multiple back to back national championships ,he didn't start putting. "Bruder" on the jerseys everybody knew if you played for the Raiders you were on a team coached by Phil Bruder.
organizations just attaching their name to a group of teams they supposedly oversee does not mean they are coached by that person and that's a misleading joke!
