Umps made a call of out on a player at 1st. i dont remember the play, but Phile Bruder calls time and talks to the base ump, who in turn talks to the plate ump. plate ump ( i can clearly here the coversation) says " I didnt see it, so i am no help." Base umpire starts walking back to his position and signals the player is safe. the opposing coach comes unglued as he also hear blue's partner tell him he could not help on the call. (the original call was the guy in the field). So this coach is arguing with blue about how the heck can you change your call when your partner gave you nothing.

Bruder yells across the field from his 3rd base box, "You win a few national championships and you'll get some calls like that also!"


Funniest damn thing I ever heard come out of a coaches mouth.

I was watching a game when the SS dives and snags a hard one hopper gets to her gets to her feet to throw the girl out at first, but ends up throwing to RF. From the stands I hear "That was a quarter catch and a nickle throw." When a girl on DD's HS team was complaining of an injury the coach said "Don't tell me how bad it hurts, just show me the baby."

I've said this, and although it didn't ever give me a seat in the parking its come close:

And I've posted this one before, but in a Rec District All Star game we had to use 3 pitchers, my DD not being a pitcher threw one inning and had 3 K's and 3 HBP's ... after the game in the pow-wow I commend the 3 hurlers for the W and combining on a no-hitter ... my DD say's : " what do you mean ? I hit 3 of them pretty good " ...

I love to see the reaction on a girls face when a pitcher is throwing gas and bust one inside and the coach yells "Take one for the team".....If looks could kill, we would have alot of dead coaches.....
