Hair Bows?

What's on your mind?

by SkidMarks » Thu Mar 12, 2009 3:04 pm

When the 'Affairs' thread got derailed into a conversation about sexuality, I remembered that I'd heard that players wear Headbands/Hair Bows not only as a way to deal with their hair, but as a way of telling everyone that they are Straight. No Bow...L---o is how it was put. The guy who mentioned this to me thought I was a moron for not knowing this.

True or not, I can't watch softball on TV in the same way. There are some very creative hair thingies out there.

Truth or Rumor?

That sort of rings a bell with me, but I never thought about it after I first heard it. That might have originated on a college team.

It is probably fiction.

Do not know if it is true or not, but on my DDs gold team, the most girlie-girl who always wears a bow in her hair is very openly gay.

Well, I asked DD and she said yea it is that way in the older groups.Make up and head bands are as good as a bow according to her. she also said it is not that big of a deal and was amused that we "Adults" we discussing it on a Fastpitch Board. :o

I'm not one to judge a book by it's cover, but one only need attend a good college tournament to know that coaches tend to make up their teams in their own image.
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

My DD is a 95...couple months ago I heard that one. Sparkly headbands not bows..I was happy to see my DD wearing the headband. If she ever takes it off we are switching to cheer leading.

My daughter kept on a few weeks ago about going out and buying a headband. Maybe I should be glad she was so persistent! :D
