Taking pictures

Stumbled over a good idea this weekend. When you coach and you like to take softball action shots, big problem. This weekend, I went out to 3rd, with my camera around my neck, and tried to get an action shot (it was a pool game, no biggie) - the kids fussed at me. I put the camera back in the case, and then one of the girls whose turn it was to sit out, ask 'Coach, teach me how to take pictures and I will do it" - so I sent everything on auto-auto, showed her how to zoom, and the girls had a blast doing that, they passed the camera around as each girl had her turn on the bench, and I ended up with over a 1000 shots which I would never have gotten. The down side is that now for the first time, I am actually in some of the shots - but its a great way to get a lot of decent pictures. Got a great bat-2-ball, got one of the funniest slides you ever saw, some good pitching shots, a lot of silliness as well, but lots of pictures.

Was thinking the same thing. Brag about your pictures and keep us guessing. Kinda like the watch out for my catcher post.

I will - I got to resize them - though some were funny because you had to be there.

One of my favorites - you would see one of my girls standing at 2nd with a 'kma' on her lips. The opponent walked my oldest dd to load the bases. Before the next kid came up to bat, I went over to her and said 'They just walked her to get to you - that means they dont respect you - how about teaching them some respect'. Now this kid is very quiet, just does her job, I think there is a lot in her but she is very quiet and extremely respectful around me. After I talked to her, she walked away, looked at the pitcher and I think she said 'Bendeho' - I dont have an exact interpretation, but I remember enough spanish to guess. Anyway, she hit a base clearing double and just stood there glaring at the pitcher.
