I have been telling my kid that for years, the new masks have great visibility so no need to tkae them off.

it's funny the saying dont take that mask off my girl is 10 and she is also a catcher she's been playing for 3 years 2 yrs allstars and all I've been hearing is tuti take the mask off!!!!!!!!!! by all hear coaches I'm glad i found HEY BUCKET I now will workout with her with the mask on thank you.

Great catch!

However, a ball like this is about the only time you wouldn't want the catcher to take their mask off...not enough time. If there's any elevation to the ball, increased visibility with newer masks or not, a mask on is not better than a mask off.
